How could I have forgotten that working hard and well in one part of my life can, and usually does, lead to working hard and well in other parts? The sewing bug is back with a vengeance, but I also made some progress on knitting, and -- are you sitting down? -- on my dissertation! Not tons, but it's something...which is a damn sight better than nothing, which was my previous mark. It's insane how quickly you can sew some pants, especially when the seams are so short that none takes longer than .25 minutes to sew.
Just call her That '70s Child! I was in a big rush to choose fabric on the way home from church Sunday, and this is what I chose. The flower pattern is very similar to the fleece I bought for clothes for Ellie this past winter -- but it totally did not ring a bell until I had been home from the store for quite some time. Flowers, flowers, everywhere! The only explanation I can come up with is that the girlreaction aesthetic has penetrated my very subconscious. Thank goodness it's an awesome vibe, and not one that would lead me down the primrose path to horrible choices.
