Hope you had a fun Fourth! Thank you very much for the kind comments on the poncho. And thanks to Carolyn for the special shout-out!!
So Clark had tickets to the Cialis Western Open golf tournament. Wonderful and humane person that he is, he asked me to accompany him on only one day, Sunday. Sensing my lack of enthusiasm, he enticed me with descriptions of the two "relaxation tents" on the course, which were, he claimed, outfitted with cushy armchairs. I tucked the materials for a pair of socks into a little purse and got in the car. As advertised, the armchairs were quite cushy, and I made good progress on the sock.
First, though, we followed Luke Donald, whom Clark really likes because he's a fellow Northwestern alum. Then, at my request, we settled in with a great view of one green several minutes ahead of what you might call the Tiger Wave, which moves like a flood across the course just ahead of Mr. Tiger Woods so that its members can surround the green and watch him approach and putt and stuff. He is an extraordinarily handsome man. I just like the way he leans on his club and waits for his turn to take his shot -- very elegant and graceful. I guess he's a decent golfer, too. So that was cool.
Then we settled me into my armchair so that Clark could rejoin Luke's group. Luke would eventually finish tied for third. Not bad at all. My comfy oasis had a TV tuned to ABC's coverage of the tournament, so I heard the Cialis ad about seven times. If I was unclear before yesterday, I now know beyond a reasonable doubt that an erection lasting more than four hours is not normal and should receive immediate medical attention. Yes, this is a family blog, but I point out to you that I am merely relating part of a commercial aired repeatedly on network TV on a Sunday afternoon.
Last night, to the soundtrack of neighborhood (that is to say, alley) fireworks, I seamed the Sweater Called Kate and now need to pick up stitches and knit the collar. Right now, however, I'm off to see if my Ribby Shell pattern has arrived. Yay for new Chicknits patterns!!!
can we get a picture of kate already.

Did you REALLY need them to tell you that a 4 hour erection is a problem?
hehehehehe.

I took one of my best naps while falling asleep to the golf tournament. I'm sure I was napping when the part about erections aired!

oh I HATE that commercial...honestly, it just makes me change the channel everytime. The sock is looking lovely, and I had to chuckle at your Tiger description. Elegant, indeed...and more than a pretty good golfer!
