Boy, have I been lazy lately! But I'm really looking forward to KIPping tonight, after too long an absence. Hope to see you there! I haven't been doing a whole lot of knitting, but I'll rustle something up to take tonight to keep my credentials in order.
On an unrelated note, I was a huge skeptic about Chicago's Millennium Park up until last weekend. It was millions of dollars over-budget, more than four years overdue (hello, Millennium?), etc., etc., grouse, grouse. We went this weekend, and I just loved it. I love the Bean! I'm a total convert to the whole concept. If you are ever in downtown Chicago and the weather's nice, you should check it out. Bravo, Richie (a.k.a. Hizzoner the Mayor Jr.) and all the corporate donors. Your names are everywhere, but the place rocks.
Hi Mary,
I hope you're feeling well. I'll try to go to KIP this week, I think.

You'll love those sculptures, Lynette! They are wild. I hope we get some good weather in the next couple of weekends.

I have to get over there. I've only seen it in the car. I want to walk up to the water sculptures. They're amazing.

You know, I think it's crochet.

The next question is which knitting stitch did they use for the metal lattice above the great lawn?
