Just a quick note to say I expect to be at KIP this week -- thank heaven. My tenuous grasp on sanity needs it. Because of the swirlingness of events, however, there's a small chance I will flake out. But I really hope to be there. As if to encourage me, the original Paxie reappeared tonight! I thought Ellie had secreted him away for good, but up he popped, good as new. His head has always been lopsided because I was shaping it without any thought or plan, but I just smoosh it around and love him all the more. Ah, prototypes. I was knitting up a new one today and thinking about how to make my notes into a pattern that others can read. The nose is very fiddly; but then, aren't they all.
To prove that I can think about something other than finger puppets, I will tell you that during the Hiatus that Ate Us -- the Swamp Reigns (the sequel, or maybe we're on three now?) I sewed a bunch of things for Ellie. Three tops, a jumper, two pairs of little diapery-covery thingies (can't bring self to type panties.................................ayiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee teeth itching now) to wear under dresses and skirts, a pair of long pants and a pair of shorts. It's insane how quickly one can sew shorts for a person who's not yet three feet tall.
